On Sunday night the UWP had a radio program critical of Haitians living in Dominica. Also, on face book, UWP apologists and supporters are advocating against Haitians, even those supporters who live in foreign lands are against Haitians who live in Dominica.
It is sad that a Haitian national was stabbed to death and several hospitalized as a result of unprovoked violence in Roseau on Monday.
Dominica used to be a country where foreigners were welcomed with open arms especially our brothers and sisters of African descent.
One is left to wonder why would the UWP be advocating against our Haitian brothers and sisters on a radio program.
While the incident might be an isolated one, it still can't be dismissed that the opposition crusade against Haitians fanned the flames of the fire.
What was most disturbing is [L.D.] allegedly reading from a WhatsApp message saying about 50 Haitians arrived with brand new Dominica passport allegedly issued in Haiti as a conspiracy to vote in the next general election here. That could have possible incense a Dominican to carry out this heinous act.
What the imbecile [L.D.] does not realize is that Haitians being part of the CARICOM family carry the identical blue passports with the CARICOM LOGO at the top as all the CARICOM islands.
