Gone are the days when every decision made in this country required the seal of approval of a few "big surname
elitists". This reality has deeply enraged a few who are still stuck in the past. Their anger and bitterness has led them down a path of self-destructive contempt and they have joined forces with a few loitering imbeciles in a malicious effort to destroy the country.

They are angry that they are not in control of the geothermal project; they are angry that they are not in control of the hundreds of millions of dollars raised by the government and used to assist the Dominican people realize their dreams of a much improved standard of living. They are extremely angry because they have lost control; they are irrelevant and they have long been dismissed, discarded  and discredited by the majority.

Today, thanks to the ideology of Labour, the ordinary man's children have been empowered  through educational, business, housing and other opportunities provided by this government, and they lead the country's development effort in key, strategic positions.

A social, economic and political renaissance has unfolded right before our eyes. Dominica has emerged as a leader on the most important global issue of climate change, thanks to the vision and ingenuity of one Roosevelt Skerrit.

The old, has-been, pseudo intellectuals, and elite wanna-bees are quickly becoming obsolete. The youth are standing up and being counted. Roosevelt Skerrit broke the mold when he rose from very humble beginnings to become one of the Caribbean's most respected,  revered and successful Caribbean Prime Ministers.

All shall eat and all shall have an equal opportunity to shine, to succeed, to rise to positions of prominence, regardless of their last name; regardless of their skin tone or the texture of their hair; regardless of whether they hail from St. Aroment or Kalinago territory; regardless of whether their parents work at First Domestic or simply domestic.

The power lies in the people and the people have given the seal of endorsement to Dominica's current governance and the people are satisfied with the direction the country is moving. The wanna-be-elitists will never again hold the sway over our country's affairs. Forward we go, onward to progress, and wherever Skerrit go we will follow!
