Remember D Day..they tried to burn the City

TODAY IS THE UWP D-DAY ANNIVERSARY

On February 7, 2017, the UWP held a protest meeting in Roseau to overthrow the government of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.

On that day Lennox Linton said that he was in control of the country and not Roosevelt Skerrit or the police. He and his crowd of hooligans were shouting “Skerrit Must Go.”

Linton said the police can’t give him a time to stop his meeting and that he can go home and return to start his meeting if he so desires.

He did disregard the lawful order from the police and ended the meeting on his own terms. He did go home and return to Roseau to cheer the UWP hooligans who were setting Roseau on fire.

He had already contacted his agents abroad that he would declare himself Prime minister after his hooligans take over the city.

Luckily for Prime Minister Skerrit, the police sent a well-trained squad to subdue and capture the hooligans before they could destroy the city.

By the time the police regained control of the capital city of Roseau, the UWP hooligans had already caused millions of dollars in damages to businesses, government and private properties.

Lennox Linton and his plotters are now facing charges before the courts. If convicted they can face up to 10 years in prison.
