The massive DLP rally and delegate conference held at Londonderry a week ago has left the UWP in a state of shock.

The thousands of Labourites who turned out sent a very strong message to the opposition that Dr. Skerrit is leading the way and he is here to stay.

Minutes after the Prime Minister announced  his candidates for the upcoming elections,  Lennox Linton and Edisson James went into panic mode.

What shocked them the most was that the rally was held in the belly of the UWP constituency, a place they consider their stronghold. The message sent was "Watch out! Labour is coming your way"

Imagine that days in advance, red flags adorned the roadside from the entrance to the village of Marigot up to Londonderry where the rally was held.

It is true that the event left the  UWP so worried that they haven't had a good night sleep since and to make matters worse the new DLP  candidate for Wesley has swept UWP Ezekel Bazil off his feet.

With elections just around the corner and the UWP still struggling to put its team together.
Lennox Linton sought an alliance  with the Freedom Party to contest the elections.

The request from Linton to merge with the Freedom party was received with a cold shoulder. The leader of the Freedom said that  they will go it alone..

He told an associate that the UWP is carrying too much dirty baggage so it makes no sense   to dragg dirty bagge behind him. He said come high or low water the Freedom party will stand on its own.

The UWP since then has been left in a state of confusion whereby they have forgotten about themselves and are only talking about the new DLP candidates morning, noon and night.
