Hon. Lennox Linton has set the record straight. Lennox is the head of the Parliamentary Audit Committee. There role is to provide oversight re the accounts presented to parliament annually.
This committee has the ability to questions and request detailed answers on all accounting matters.
The annual Budget submitted to the Parliament includes all debt the country owes and to whom.
Mr. Linton has confirmed that even if he heads this committee and receives the annual budget, he has never paid attention to what he considers a complicated section of the annual budget.
Auditor Ducreay has reviewed the document and explained to Lennox that Government has one [1]loan with the Government of China in the amount of $108,000,000.00 aka one hundred and eight million dollars.
Word on the street indicates that China his provided GRANT support to the people of Dominica in excess of 600,000,000.00 for their development.
It seems China has been very generous to the people of Dominica based on the negotiating skills of the Dominica Government.
