Finance Minister says Jamaica owes China $79 billion
That figure was disclosed by Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke at the launch of the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Jamaica (ACEJ) in Kingston, yesterday (February 26).
Sixteen of Jamaica’s leading Chinese enterprises have joined forces to form the association.
Noting that Jamaica owes some $2 trillion, the Finance Minister said the amount owed to china is only 4% of the total debt.
