The Cabrits wharf was severely damaged with the passage of Hurricane Maria.
To accommodate in a temporary manner the small cruise vessels calling at the time in Portsmouth and the medical services offered by Pacific Ho
pe at the the time.
Minor repairs was done to facilitate the landing of passengers.
Range, NH and the crew of Pacific Hope contributed Labour and materials. The work done was to accommodate access to the vessel and the landing platform.
No heavy equipment could drive on the said temporary works, as Pitch Pine 3 inch planks where used 12 x 8 x 3. These where too thin.
Electrical work is being done now.
DASPA reconstructed the entire wharf with Green Heart lumber, hard wood, 12 x 8 x 6 and also replaced two damaged concrete beams.
Yet Tootsie Roll Tossie will want you to believe otherwise.
