State College Tuition Fees Discontinued

With the discontinuation of tuition fees to attend the Dominica State College (DSC) being effective from today, the playing field for accessing education has been leveled even further by this Government.

I indicated to the president of the DSC this morning that there has to be an increased focus on providing technical and vocational programmes. Dominica needs to produce more certified electricians, plumbers, masons and carpenters who can work both here and seamlessly throughout CARICOM.
