Many would have you believe that Dominicans are not free.
They lie and state Dominica is becoming a dictatorship. This is totally false. After Barbados Dominica is the second most free member state in CARICOM.
For many Dominicans at home and abroad the United States is the gold standard for freedom and democracy and the rule of law and Dominica lags far behind the United States, but according to The World Freedom Ranking, the Scandinavian countries of Finland, Norway and Sweden are ranked Ist 2nd and 3rd, with Canada 4th, Denmark 10th, Barbados 14th, UK 27th, Dominica 29th, ahead of all the other CARICOM states other than Barbados, and the United States ranks 53rd.
