Armed Robbery at a Bread Depot in Newtown

Last week, the lone female staff at the bread bakery in Newtown was robbed at gun point.

One can only imagine the fear that struck her poor heart, luckily no one was injured, she followed the instructions of the robbers and handed over the funds she had received for the day, she had just finished doing her daily balance sheet.

The lil boy said he overheard the worker say to his mother: "I was so scared, I thought I would never see my family again."  As a result of the mental trauma she was unable to work for three days.  Even as she recants the event, her shoulder muscles hurt.

Can you believe the owner of the business told the traumatized female staff the same night that she had to repay the money stolen, and it would be deducted from her salary!

Can you believe, the owner of the business told the Nigerian accountant upstairs to deduct the two days pay from the female staff, for the period she was home suffering from the trauma of the event.  She said this with tears in her eyes as she broke down, again in disbelief!

It is alleged that the business owner's handsome and educated son had to intervene and remind his father to have a heart, and reminded him that his decisions are despicable.  This was the same female staff member who picked up the business owner off the road after his hit and run incident, where a man riding a Yamaha scooter ran into his nose, causing damage to his mouth also.

We the residents of Newtown want to thank his educated son for stepping in and doing the right thing.  it is important to ensure your staff are safe and secure at work.
