RESPONDING TO ALEX BRUNO

RESPONSE TO ALEX BRUNO'S SUNDAY TALK

Good morning Mr. Bruno thank you for your Sunday morning talk today. But just remember that the stone that you rock might just roll back on you. I will continue to monitor you and others who are set on causing a disturbance in Dominica, the first climate-resilient nation in the world.

Let me assure you , that while the government appreciates that electoral reform may be desirable to improve the voting system, it is under no obligation to accept and implement any recommendation or suggestions from any organization, far the less the United Workers Party. Elections in Dominica have been held in this country for decades without complaint. Why is it that the UWP did not consider electoral reform when they were in power? why are they so insistent that it should be done now? Moreover, the current elections legisaltion makes no provision for the next general elections to be stalled.

I think all this commotion is nothing but a smokescreen to hide your party's incompetence at the polls since you last served for 4 and half months. Consequently, successfully lost three bids at power to no avail. I also think, that since free and fair general elections have not been working in your favor, that you have embarked on a campaign of terror and intimidation, to bully naive Dominicans into following your party into creating a sense of panic and fear.

At the start of your talk yoou mentioned that the political tension in Dominica is so thick that you could cut it with a knife. Well you sir, is partly responsible for that. In the same breath, you predicted that there will be trouble in Dominica. Referencing the famous Bishop of Roseau who has jumped into Dominican politics and supported your cause. I also think that members of the public who sympathize with you retheroic and constant belittling of the Roosevelt Skerrit administration are making a mistake.

However, they are not gambling the future of Dominica,, but their own lives and the lives of their children. If they want to continue to support a losing party, then that is a matter for them. But the sun shall never set on the Dominica Labour Party administration of the affairs of the Commonwealth of Dominica. It a new era in Dominican politics.

Get used to it Mr. Bruno
