Community Center Updates
Community Centers exist so that members of the community can have a safe environment. It is a place where at-risk youths can receive help, neighbors can socialize with each other and anyone can receive educational classes and participate in recreational activities.
The government of Dominica is building 2 community centers – One in Vieille Case which will be named Alexis E. Williams Multipurpose Center and the other in Trafalgar which will be named Trafalgar Multipurpose Center.
Each village will have a community center with:
- 4 Male and Female rest areas. (2 on the ground floor and 2 on the 1st floor)
- A Clinic on the ground floor.
- A Sick Bay on the ground floor.
- A Multipurpose hall where events and exhibitions and many other uses can be held.
- First Aids
- A Kitchen
- 4 offices on the 1st floor
- A Dining and Activity Hall
