Climate Resistant Homes
for our Kalinago people
The objective of the European Funded Housing project is to support Dominica’s aspirations to become a climate-smart and resilient country, thus contributing to the long-term sustainable economic development of its people.
The specific objective is to contribute to building a climate resilient sector by rebuilding resilient homes in the Salybia Constituency.
After feasibility study, the fifty (50) individual housing units will be distributed as follows:
Lot 1: Six (6) in Concord
Lot 2: Eight (8) in Bataca
Lot 3: Five (5) in Crayfish River and Salybia
Lot 4: Nine (9) in St. Cyr
Lot 5: Ten (10) in Gaulette River and Mahaut River
Lot: (6): Twelve (12) in Seneku
Provisional commencement date of the contract is August 2020. The implementation period of task is eight months.
It’s fair to say that housing is progressing and being undertaken aggressively in the Salybia Constituency.
