Opposition Leader Walks Out Alone

FOLLOWING SEVERAL NECESSARY INTERJECTIONS BY SPEAKER ISAAC, THE LEADER OF OPPOSITION WALKS OUT ALONE

Leader of the main opposition United Workers Party (UWP) Lennox Linton refused to return to parliament after the first session on Monday because of what he described as unfair treatment meted out to him by the speaker of the House of Assembly, Joseph Isaac.

Linton said he was attempting to incorrectly raise a point on the government’s refusal to obey the constitutional rule of law regarding provisions for legitimate expenses for the consolidated fund.
