BAD NEWS FOR UWP: 

THE VERDICT IS OUT FROM THE OECS COURT OF APPEAL. 

ALL FALL DOWN FOR THEM

In October last year, the UWP appealed the judge's decision to throw out all 11 petitions filed to contest the 18/3 defeat they suffered in the 2019 elections. 

This week, again they met with dismay when the OECS court of appeal once more threw out all 11 petitions and send them packing.  Now that court has fined them $2000.00 to be paid to each DLP candidate they filed a court petition against. Before that decision, they were already fined $500.00 by the high court to be paid to each DLP candidate.

Come June 8, 2021, they will be in court again to provide evidence on yet another case of election treating they brought against the DLP. 

It's 7 years now since the court has been waiting on them to provide the evidence to prove treating and up till now, they can't provide it.

The writing is on the wall signalling what is going to happen on June 8, 2021. Another defeat in court because until now they have no evidence.

Last week we saw Mervin Jnobaptiste broke down in tears on Q95 lamenting the fact that he is lawyerless and penniless because the UWP leader dumped him by the roadside. He said on Q95 that his decision to withdraw from the case was to save his skin and protect his family savings.  

The last man standing on the treating case was seen at the market last Saturday morning going up and down looking for witnesses and evidence to present to the court on June 8. 2021. He made himself a laughing stock at the market. How sorry I felt for him.

If the UWP hasn't learned its lesson yet, it will surely learn it now. My advice to them is to learn not to bite more than you can chew.
