UWP A FAILURE

The Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal has dismissed an election petition filed by the opposition

The United Workers Party (UWP) which was filed after the 2019 general elections and was thrown out by Grenadian base high court Judge Glasgow.

The appeals court met Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

The UWP after the December 2019 general elections in Dominica citing major irregularities, filed 10 election petitions asking the court to intervene as they alleged massive “fraud and corruption” in the election.

“I have found good reasons to depart from these principles to strike out these petitions.


Conclusion:

(1) The petitioners'/appellants' consolidated appeals against the decision of Glasgow J. dated 14th October 2020 are STRUCK OUT.

(2)  The petitioner/appellants listed below shall, without 21 days, pay costs to each of the respondents in the sum of $2000.00.

This is a bad week for the opposition. Good news for Dominica is like sunlight to a vampire for those vultures. Worse still they had their petitions thrown out as expected. There will be more attempts to railroad the country as they get more desperate. In the meantime all Judy penny, Dominique Pinez, Pwel Gatay and the rest of their crew. We only have one message for you all.
