SADLY BUT TRUE THE SEARCH CONTINUES FOR THE MISSING 12-YEAR-OLD CHILD

At this point no one knows if Kernisha Etienne is alive or dead. While one would have been comforted with the news that the kidnapper being captured alive, things don't always go as planned.

Given that the kidnapper is dead, it is a fact that the search effort will not get easier because police was relying on him if captured alive to provide leads on her whereabouts.

It is also true to say that the community though upset that the police did not get him alive, is much relieved that this dangerous lunatic is no longer at large.

Common entrance examinations were delayed because the kidnapper was still at large. A parent in Castle Bruce breathed a sigh of relief because the kidnapper had also threatened to abduct her child. 

Many children were traumatized and could not function properly in school and had to undergo counseling. Many of them were also afraid to venture form their homes. 

Imagine so many children as well as adults being held hostage at the thought of an armed and dangerous lunatic lurking in the bushes. Who knows if he wouldn't have kidnapped another child, kill a police and still be on the run.

All I can say at this point is let's hope and pray that this innocent child is found alive and that we stop bashing the police.
