Marl, a Dominica native residing in the US, has allegedly scammed a group of 10 investors out of their hard-earned money through a cryptocurrency trading scheme.
Each investor contributed US$1,000.00 in March, lured by Marl's small success stories and photos of his achievements.
However, after almost five months of holding onto the investors' funds, Marl has failed to deliver on his promises, ignoring messages and cutting off communication with the group.
One investor even took out a loan in Dominica to invest, and now faces the burden of repaying it while Marl travels the world.
The investors demand a refund within two weeks or they will pursue legal action.
This cautionary tale serves as a stark reminder to be wary of such scams and to thoroughly research and verify any investment opportunities before committing funds.
